About Us

Training & Experience

The education, training, and experience behind the work I do.

I believe connection matters in therapy, but so does knowing that the person sitting across from you has the education, training, and experience to help with the hard stuff.

My background includes graduate-level clinical education, years of direct client care, program leadership, intensive outpatient treatment, and specialized training in trauma, EMDR, DBT, suicidality, psychosis, grief and loss.

Over the years, I've worked with children, teens, adults, couples, families, and groups across outpatient, community mental health, intensive treatment, and private practice settings.

Specialized Training

EMDR Therapy
Completed EMDR training in 2024 with ongoing use of EMDR in trauma treatment. My work focuses on helping clients process experiences that continue to feel present long after they're over.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Extensive experience using DBT with both adolescents and adults, including individual therapy and skills-based groups. I currently facilitate ongoing DBT groups focused on practical skills for emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and relationships.

Trauma, PTSD, Grief & Loss
Certificate training in core competencies and treatment strategies for trauma, PTSD, grief, and loss, along with years of clinical experience working with trauma and its impact on relationships, identity, emotional regulation, and the nervous system.

Suicide Assessment & Intervention
CAMS trained with experience using the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality framework and working with clients experiencing suicidal thoughts and high levels of emotional distress.

Psychosis & First-Episode Psychosis
Clinical and program leadership experience working with individuals experiencing psychosis and first-episode psychosis, including experience with CBT-informed interventions for psychosis.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Experience using CBT principles to help clients understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and patterns that may no longer be serving them.

Motivational Interviewing (MI)
Training and experience using Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore ambivalence, identify their own reasons for change, and move toward goals without judgment or pressure.

Clinical Experience

Private Practice & Untangled Minds

Owner & Licensed Professional Counselor | 2023–Present

I founded Untangled Minds to create the kind of therapy practice I wanted to exist: warm, human, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence-based treatment without feeling overly clinical.

My work primarily focuses on trauma, PTSD, anxiety, emotional regulation, relationships, life transitions, first responders, helping professionals, and people who have spent a long time being the strong one.

I provide individual therapy, trauma treatment, EMDR, and DBT skills groups for adults and teens.

The Meadows

Virtual Intensive Outpatient Therapist | 2026–Present

I facilitate intensive outpatient therapy groups for adults navigating trauma, addiction, mental health concerns, and significant life challenges.

My group work incorporates trauma-informed care, DBT, behavioral activation, boundaries and communication, shame and vulnerability, neuroplasticity, stages of change, and other evidence-based approaches.

Coos Health & Wellness

Counselor & Program Manager | 2020–2024

My work in community mental health included providing therapy as well as leadership within ACT and EASA programs serving individuals with complex mental health needs.

As an ACT/EASA Program Manager, I worked extensively with serious mental illness, psychosis, and first-episode psychosis while supporting multidisciplinary treatment and community-based care.

This experience shaped the way I practice today. I learned to look beyond a diagnosis and understand the whole person, their environment, their relationships, their strengths, and what has happened to them.

Lifeline Professional Counseling Services

Counselor | 2019–2020

I provided individual, couples, and family counseling and gained early experience facilitating both adolescent DBT and adult CBT groups.

This was also where group therapy became an important part of my clinical work and eventually influenced the DBT groups I offer today.

More Than a List of Credentials

Training matters. Experience matters. Evidence-based treatment matters.

But therapy is also a relationship.

I've spent years learning how trauma, relationships, loss, mental health, and the nervous system affect the way people experience themselves and the world around them. That training gives us a map.

You still get to decide where we're going.
